Spain is set to host two major LGBTQ+ global events in 2026:

• Gay Games – Valencia, June 27 to July 5, 2026

• IGLTA Global Convention – Seville, November 17–21, 2026

Malta has been ranked #1 on ILGA-Europe’s Rainbow Map, an annual index of 49 European countries committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for the LGBTQ+ community.

Valencia is proud to be an inclusive and diverse city, which is why it has been chosen to host the Gay Games XII from May 25 to June 7, 2026, an international sporting and cultural event whose basic principles are participation, inclusion, and self-improvement.

Known as the epicenter of LGBTQ+ life in the country, Guadalajara is a city that radiates warmth, acceptance, and progressive values, making it a top destination for LGBTQ+ travelers.

South Africa's progressive constitution explicitly prohibits discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation, making it the most welcoming destination on the continent for LGBTQ+ travelers. Established gay and lesbian communities are thriving in cities like Cape Town, the "LGBTQ+ capital of Africa."
