PALM SPRINGS, CA, United States (26 March 2025) — The International LGBTQ+ Travel Association (IGLTA) is now accepting speaker proposals for its 2025 Global Convention, taking place 21-25 October in Palm Springs, California. This marks the convention’s return to the West Coast of the United States for the first time since 2015, offering an incredible opportunity to engage with a diverse, global audience.
IGLTA is seeking dynamic speakers to deliver thought-provoking sessions that support professional growth within the LGBTQ+ tourism industry. Speakers will have the opportunity to share their unique perspectives during two days of breakouts, workshops, and main stage presentations.
Key areas of interest include:
- AI in travel
- Intersectionality in LGBTQ+ tourism (e.g. issues facing BIPOC and/or gender diverse travelers)
- Strategies to navigate DEI challenges
- Innovative LGBTQ+ marketing
- Support for travel advisors
“The need for our community to come together has never been clearer,” said IGLTA President/CEO John Tanzella (he/him). “With anti-LGBTQ+ policies on the rise globally, the travel industry has a unique opportunity to demonstrate the impact it can have in opening hearts and minds — creating a world where everyone feels welcomed and valued. If you have insights to share or ideas to drive inclusive business, we invite you to submit a session proposal and join this important conversation.”
The deadline for submissions is 12 May. The IGLTA Convention Committee will review all proposals and announce selected speakers in June. Link to apply is available here.
The annual convention brings together top industry leaders and experts from around the world to share insights, experiences and best practices in LGBTQ+ tourism. IGLTA is proud to partner with Visit Greater Palm Springs to make this event possible. For more information about the convention and registration, please visit IGLTA convention.org.
