São Paulo (28 September 2017)—The International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association will hold a special meeting at Japan House in São Paulo to discuss the advances of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender tourism around the world. The event, sponsored by Air Canada and TGK Travel, will include presentations from IGLTA President/CEO John Tanzella and IGLTA’s Ambassador for Asia, Shintaro Koizumi.

“We're excited to discuss new destinations and trends in LGBT tourism and bring together two countries, Brazil and Japan, that are actively reaching out to the LGBT market,” Tanzella said. “This workshop is a showcase for the incredible diversity now available within the world of LGBT travel, and an opportunity for those interested in this dynamic segment to learn more about IGLTA’s outreach.”

Brazil has one of the largest LGBT markets in the world, and is the country with the second largest number of IGLTA members after the United States. Japan has the largest number of IGLTA members in Asia.
