SUMMARY
Your journey begins in the Mother City, Cape Town, the best place in the world to visit, according to the prestigious New York Times. If you are traveling over December, you can join the Mother City Queer Party, the biggest African gay, lesbian, and transgender event of the year! You will then travel to one of the most iconic reserves in South Africa, Madikwe Game Reserve, for an authentic immersion into the African continent where the prized Big Five thrive. Your journey ends in Johannesburg, with an overnight stay at Fairlawns Boutique Hotel & Spa in the glitz and glamour suburb, Sandton.
ITINERARY
Day 1
Cape Town
After arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will be met by the V-VIP Meet & Greet services for a warm, African welcome!
A private transfer will then take you to Protea Hotel by Marriott Cape Town Victoria Junction. Close to all of Cape Town’s major attractions and destinations, the Protea Hotel by Marriott Cape Town Victoria Junction is located on the fringe of the V&A Waterfront. Designed to offer a contemporary urban feel, the decor is clean and modern and the rooms comfortably appointed. In-house dining facilities are fantastic with the trend-setting Connexion Restaurant and Bar offering an extensive wine-by-the-glass list and the menu a diverse array of culinary options. There are a spa and gym within close proximity to the hotel. It is easy for guests to explore the attractions of the city from this perfectly placed hotel as many are within walking distance and the rest a short drive away.
Protea Hotel Cape Town - Victoria Junction
You will have the evening at leisure to enjoy dinner at one of the restaurants in the V&A Waterfront. Return to hotel by own arrangements. We recommend you download the Uber App, as this is the cheapest & safest mode of transport in Cape Town. Alternatively, metered taxi is on hand at the exit of the Main V&A Waterfront buildings.
Day 2
Cape Town
After breakfast, you will set off on a private half-day Cape Town and Table Mountain tour.
Drive past famous landmarks such as the Castle of Good Hope built in 1666, City Hall, and the Grand Parade. Driving through famous Adderley Street, we will see St. George’s Cathedral: The Anglican Diocese of Nobel Peace Laureate Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Pass the Company Gardens and the Malay Quarter which is situated on the slopes of Table Mountain where slaves were settled. Continue to join a sparkling tour, witness the art of diamond cutting and the careful craftsmanship of jewelry manufacturing by skilled experts. You will be offered the option of continuing to Table Mountain, where you can ascend to the top weather permitting by the revolving cable car. Here you'll see phenomenal views, including Robben Island.
Day 3
Cape Town
Your day will be spent at your leisure.
Optional: After breakfast, you will enjoy a full day Cape Point Jeep Tour. Bring your camera! Our Cape Point tour to the southwestern tip of the Cape Peninsula offers some of the most spectacular views in the world. The drive itself is an inspiration and passes steep mountains, secluded coves, and sweeping beaches, as well as villages and fishing communities. Our Cape Peninsula tour begins with a scenic drive along the Atlantic coast, passing through the cosmopolitan suburbs of Sea Point and Camps Bay to Hout Bay, one of Cape Town’s best-kept secrets. Here, you can take a short boat trip to Duiker Island (for own account and time permitting) to view the Cape Fur Seals which inhabit the island. From there we travel to the Cape Point, a breathtaking rocky promontory. The Cape Point tour returns to Cape Town by way of Simon’s Town, Fish Hoek, and Muizenberg, with a stop at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens.
Day 4

Optional: After breakfast, you will head off on a full-day Old Timer Winelands Tour. What is the best feature of a Cape Winelands tour? Not only does a Winelands tour take in the crisp white and classic French-style red wines, fantastic cheeses, and olives that the area is famous for, but it also gives you a chance to savor a stunning wealth of natural beauty. Explore vast estates as we take you along the Cape Winelands’ principal route through Paarl, Stellenbosch, and Franschhoek in a vintage classic car, adding an extra element of refinement and class. Relax in the shade of giant oak trees and towering mountains overlooking lush valleys and savour fine wines, great food, and spectacular scenery.

Optional: During December, the Mother City hosts one of the biggest parties of the year, the Mother City Queer Party (MCQP). Amazing dance floors, stages and entertainment are all part of it. Each year the party is themed so that you can get your perfect outfit ready. The Mother City Queer Party

Day 6-8
Madikwe Game Reserve
After breakfast, you will check-in for a direct flight from Cape Town to OR Tambo International Airport. You will then be road transferred to Jamala Madikwe Royal Safari Lodge. Jamala Madikwe Royal Safari Lodge has been designed to create the most exquisite safari experience that will last in your memory for a lifetime. In the Madikwe Game Reserve, this lodge has a water hole that stretches the length of it and is frequented by all kinds of majestic beasts that roam this area. Wherever you are at the lodge, you’ll have a front-row seat to the action. The main guest area of the lodge has a lounge and a library with a fireplace and you can expect gourmet dining either in the boma or the star deck. There is also a watchtower lounge that overlooks the waterhole and the endless savannah. When you aren’t on game drives, you can enjoy the on-site gym or have a revitalizing spa treatment.

Johannesburg
After breakfast, you will road transferred back to Johannesburg and then on to Fairlawns Boutique Hotel & Spa.
Fairlawns Boutique Hotel and Spa consists of eleven acres of stables and beautiful rolling lawns. Today, the combination of nature and birdlife make it the ideal setting for a hotel in the epicenter of the city. In keeping with the natural aura, the Balinese Spa Garden promotes the principles of holistic healing in a pampered environment. Hydrotherapy treatments, dining pavilions, and outdoor massage areas are some of the highlights. When you’re not reveling in the tranquil aspects of the gardens or the spa, the Terrace Restaurant serves international and local dishes with only the freshest ingredients. In winter, a large fireplace sets a placid mood in the restaurant. In summer, you can request a table on the lawns under the stars, close to lit fountains, making for memorable dining experiences all year round.
