From September 26th to October 27th, 2019, the POLYCHROMES association will present the 12th edition of ZEFESTIVAL, the only regional LGBTQ + film festival in the South Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region.
This year, for the first time, thanks to the initiative of the Vaucluse LGBT Pole "La LanGouste à BreTelles", the festival will open its 2019 edition in Avignon and Carpentras, with two exceptional evenings at the end of September. It will continue in Nice, like every year, for four days, then in Seillans and Toulon with a fence at the end of October in Marseille.
ZEFESTIVAL will unveil its rich selection of lesbian, gay, bi, trans, queer and + themed films with world premieres, new releases, experimental creations and award-winning films at major international festivals.
Special tribute will be paid to Latin cinemas and New Queer Cinema, through a selection of Brazilian, Argentinean, Mexican, Spanish and Italian films.
With 15 feature films and 11 short films the ZEFESTIVAL team will invite its audience to cross the borders to also visit Switzerland, Canada, Greece, Denmark, Kenya, and the USA.
There will of course be many events, screenings followed by exchanges with the directors, producers, producers, producers and invited actors who will make us the honor of their presence. Many regional associations partners will be at the rendezvous to animate our evenings debates: the ATCA (Association Transgender Côte-d'Azur), SOS Homophobia, Contact, Films Women Mediterranean, Rainbow Club Toulon, among others.
Through this festival, the association Polychromes aims to contribute to promoting values ??of openness, respect, humanism and non-discrimination, through cinema and culture.
At a time when human rights and LGBTQ + rights in particular are still not guaranteed universally and perennially, the commitment of Polychrome, its team, and its activists has its raison d'être.
We thank all our partners, our guests, and all those who support this beautiful LGBTQ + festival.
