DAY 1: ARRIVAL When you arrive at Entebbe airport our representative will pick you up and drive you to your hotel. You’ll be staying in luxury accommodation with great views of Lake Victoria, the world’s second largest freshwater lake. Uganda DAY 2: CHIMPANZEE SANCTUARY After breakfast you’ll take a boat trip to Ngamba Island along Lake Victoria. Here you’ll find a chimpanzee sanctuary. After you’ve acquainted yourself with the chimps, you’ll return to Entebbe. You’ll then take a trip to Entebbe Zoo, where many rescued and orphaned animals are taken care of. In the evening you’ll return to your hotel. Uganda DAY 3: KAMPALA Today we’ll be driving through the countryside visiting local communities. After a traditional Ugandan lunch it’ll be time to head to Kampala, Uganda’s capital city. Kampala is quite a sensory experience. In the evening you’ll be able to relax at your hotel and make the most of the revolving restaurant and bar. Uganda DAY 4: SAFARI Wake up bright and early for your safari adventure. We’ll be driving West to Kibale National Park. You’ll see some sights along the way, including baboons, tea plantations as well as the famous Nakayima tree – one of the oldest trees in the world. In the evening you’ll dine at Kyaninga Lodge, situated on the edge of an extinct volcanic crater lake. Uganda DAY 5: CHIMPANZEE TRACKING Take a trek into the tropical rainforest where you’ll see many primates. Your guide will ensure this adventure runs smoothly. Keep an eye peeled for the elusive L’Hoeste monkey. After lunch you’ll return to your lodge with the option to take further adventures, swim in the pool or make the most of the wine cellar. Overnight at Kyaninga Lodge. Uganda DAY 6: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK On the way to the park you’ll see the mysterious Tooro King’s Palace and Mabeere ga Nyina Mwiru, places of great beauty and rich mythology. After a picnic lunch we’ll arrive at Queen Elizabeth National Park. It’ll then be time to embark on an evening game drive. Keep an eye peeled for elephants, antelopes and lions. Dinner at the Mweya Safari Lodge set against the backdrop of the “Mountains of the Moon.” Kazinga Channel DAY 7: KAZINGA CHANNEL Wake up bright and early for a morning game drive. We’ll be looking for a diverse array of creatures, including elephants, lions, buffalo, impalas, flamingos and waterbucks. After lunch it’ll be time for a cruise down the Kazinga Channel. You’ll see some incredible sights including hippos, crocodiles and abundant avian life. Dinner at the Mweya Safari Lodge. You’ll also be able to take a dip in the infinity pool. Kazinga Channel DAY 8: JUNGLE GORILLA LODGE We’ll take a game drive in the Southern part of the park, famous for its tree-climbing lions. Spend the evening in style at the Bwindi Lodge, one of the best Africa resorts according to Conde Nast Traveler. Uganda DAY 9: GORILLA TREKKING Head to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for a gorilla trek. Prepare for quite a hike through mud to get to the gorillas. You can also enjoy a guided tour of the local community of the Batwa pygmies. Dinner and overnight at Bwindi Lodge. Lake Mburo National Park DAY 10: TRANSFER TO LAKE MBURO After breakfast head to the Lake Mburo National Park. Lunch will be served on route at the Igongo Cultural Centre. At the park you can opt for a horseback riding safari (additional $70). Take a swim in the pool and observe the wildlife below. You’ll see zebras, warthogs and buffalo. Dinner and and overnight at Mihingo Lodge. Uganda DAY 11: TRANSFER TO KAMPALA After breakfast you’ll transfer back to the capital city, arriving in the evening. Enjoy a relaxing evening at your hotel for your final night in Uganda. Uganda DAT 12: KAMPALA CITY AND DEPARTURE If you have the time enjoy some last minute shopping in Kampala. You’ll then be transferred to your hotel for your return flight.
