Your discovery of Yangon includes a bicycle ride through hidden neighborhoods and a visit to a local tea shop. End the day at Schwedagon Pagoda and take part in an oil lamp ceremony at sunset. In Bagan, stop at a local villager’s house for lunch and then travel by horse cart past some of the area’s magnificent temples. Mandalay, the fabled city by the Irrawaddy River, will enchant with its local traditions and handicrafts, as well as the fabled sites of Mingun and the Mahamuni Pagoda. Spend the day with the elephants at the Green Hill Elephant Camp, learning about the stewardship of these magnificent animals and their habitat; your interactive adventures of feeding and bathing the elephants are sure to leave a lasting impression. The adventures continue as you travel to the village of Nyaung Shwe to visit the markets and take a trishaw ride down to Inle Lake. Opportunities abound for you to travel on the lake—including a kayak ride!—and to explore the stilt communities along its shores. Your last evening is back in Yangon to enjoy a special farewell dinner at Le Planteur.
