Paris is one of the most popular European destinations worldwide. Romantic and glamorous, the quintessential City of Light is constantly renewing itself and always on the move. While maintaining its celebrated charm, it now hosts world class events with plenty to offer LGBTQ+ audiences. While waiting to host the 2024 Olympics, the city welcomes Paris2018, the 10th  edition of the Gay Games this summer. It's an opportunity to attend or take part in an exceptional competition focused on respect and solidarity.

If you were to name one district in Paris that is particularly popular with the LGBTQ+ community, it would have to be the Marais. Most of the French capital’s gay-friendly venues are located in this neighborhood between Place de la Bastille, Place de la République and Hôtel de Ville. A whole range of bars, boutiques and clubs have opened over the past 30 years, turning this district into an authentic, yet trendy little village drawing a disparate crowd of visitors.

The Marais is also known to be a cultural hotspot. It has some of the top museums in Paris and several art galleries have set up shop, making the district a cornerstone of the art scene in the city. And every year, towards the end of June, the Marais is the place where people come together to party during one of the most festive occasions in Paris – the Gay Pride parade.

Also located in the Marais, LE BHV MARAIS proudly stands among some of the capital’s most iconic tourist attractions such as the Louvre, Notre-Dame or the Centre Georges Pompidou, just to name a few. Founded in 1856, it has kept its unique Parisian feel through the years, today housing over 2,000 brands. The store also produces pop-ups stores, providing new designers and brands a chance to be in the spotlight.
