The 2-day 4Ward Americas: LGBTQI Human rights Symposium is taking place from February 17 through February 18th at the University of Miami Newman Alumni Center in Miami. The Symposium will promote shared learning about the regions across the Americas, identify the present states of reality in LGBTQI communities across the Americas, promote cross-national collaboration in the Americas and stimulate innovation and improvisation through progressive topics. The Symposium is ideal for Educators, Students, Legal Professionals, Business Professionals, Non Profit Professionals, Immigration Professionals, Social Justice Advocates, Environmentalists, Technology Professionals, Tourism Professionals, Government and Elected Officials and anyone who wants to connect and be inspired by cross-regional conversations centered on the LGBTQI experience across the Americas.

The Symposium is part of the The Gay8 Festival, which is a Hispanic themed LGBTQ street festival and entertainment event that encompasses cultural arts programming, a LGBTQ focused human rights symposium, entertainment, music, dance and community engagement. The festival is designed to create opportunities for education and connection for LGBTQ communities through the various mediums of cultural arts, music, entertainment and education forums. The 4th installment of the Gay8 Festival will take place during President's Day Weekend, from February 15th through February 18th, 2019. Entertainment, cultural arts, and tourism events will take place throughout the weekend.
