Lesvos Europe > Greece > Attica

As Greece’s third largest island, Lesvos has almost 400 kilometers of paved road with minimal traffic outside the capital Mytilini.   Lesvos is most famous as the home of Greece's most famous ancient female poet Sappho who was from Eressos, an overnight destination on this self-guided tour.

Arrange your self-guided bike tour to coincide with the international women's festival in Skala Eresso, Lesvos September 9-23, 2017, one of the bike tour's overnight destinations.

Bathe in the island's many  hot thermal springs.  Pedal to a petrified forest with upright "trees."  Swim at beautiful beaches.  Eat delicious fresh sardines from Kalloni Bay.  Climb up to the Genovese castle in Molyvos.

The tour lasts 8 days for Lesvos or 12 days if you plan to go on the neighbor island of Chios, famous for its mastica, an anti-flammatory, anti-oxident resin now popular amongt health addicts.

Self-guided means we organize the itinerary for you, give you a road bike, helmet, locks, bike kit, maps, GPS device, cue sheets and we book your hotels. The tour also includes luggage transfers so you never have to bike weighed down by your gear.
