Join New York City Photo Safari for this unique photography workshop which takes place inside the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Although there will be artwork to photograph, this photo safari is about the use of light. The amazing Metropolitan Museum of Art features many would-be outdoor spaces that are now encapsulated inside the building (the American Courtyard, the European Sculpture Court, etc.). These spaces are beautifully lit by huge skylights, offering a unique opportunity to photograph several diverse architectural elements all in one setting. These conditions also offer some photographic challenges such as shooting in mixed lighting conditions and so we will also address "white balance".

Whether you are visiting New York City or a Manahttan native, join us for a Photo Safari and learn to capture the beauty that is NYC! On this all around Photo Safari you will learn location photography and how to take better photos of your friends while on vacation. These are the two most common scenarios people find themselves in. This workshop takes advantage the historical Madison Square Park (offering the best ground level view of the Flat Iron and Metropolitan Life buildings). You will learn some portrait composition and positioning, what lighting conditions to look for, architectural photography and scene management.
